What I read will actually be very helpful the next time I write something. For example I never really thought about my stance, which is the attitude in which I am writing. The reading also talked about is the way your writing is designed or the medium in it. When you write something for little children you would use a different size/type of font than you would for a business person. "We write to explore our thoughts and emotions, to express ourselves, to entertain; we write to record words and events,to communicate with others, to try to persuade others to believe as we do or to behave in certain ways."
This quote was my favorite part of all of the reading because it's true. Everyone has different styles of writing and different audiences to whom they are writing to. Some people prefer to write children books while others prefer to write newspaper articles and etc. Everyone has their own style and that's why when an English teacher gives a class a topic to write about the reports can come back with many different opinions that are all relevant and relating to the topic. Each and every person has their favorite font or different types of media or paper that will make their paper unique from the rest of the class. Some people will write about the topic using a different type of audience, or in other words their report will be told from a different view. When writing always think about the stance because if you are trying to persuade someone of something there are certain ways to write but if your trying to find your lost dog your writing is going to affect that. Your stance shows what you think about your audience and the topic ypur writing about.
